LEANING

6"X6"
OIL ON CANVAS PANEL
PRICE $100

Carnations are great for still life paintings because they have staying power. They stay in good shape longer than most flowers. If you are a slow painter like me, then it's a plus.

Deep colors and good play of shades!
I'm so surprised to see how Wu Xing Chineese philosophy of brushstrokes can be applied with oil colors. I thought it is more monochrome pictures and they should have a lot of free white space left on the paper... But now I see that many things we practice in our school can be practiced with other materials as well.
