I really like this color combination. Whenever I see grapes in a painting I think of the Dutch still life painters. You notice that I have decided to leave out the dead fish that sometimes accompany the grapes.

I really like this color combination. Whenever I see grapes in a painting I think of the Dutch still life painters. You notice that I have decided to leave out the dead fish that sometimes accompany the grapes.

This is fabulous! Really like everything about it. The grapes are so good! Love the apple with gorgeous colors and value shifts- SWEET! That little bowl has such a fragile feel to it.
Yes, good idea to leave off the dead fish- this is lovely without! Ha:)
That's funny. They also painted lots of bugs--grasshoppers, caterpillars, etc. on the flowers.
This is a beautiful painting. I love all your lush brushstrokes. The apple glows against the red background. And you really captured the translucence of the grapes. Great job!
