This painting was close to finished when I went to bed but mischief was happening in my studio while I slept. My nosey tabby cat Dudley, was dismantling my still life setup. Everything was on the floor except the vase and it was perilously close. Dudley has a felonious past when it comes to breaking things. One time in his younger years, he ended up with all four paws in bandages from broken glass.

I really like this! The color combination is very eye-catching. I love how you painted the vase and the stems showing through. And the tomato is gorgeous!

Ooh, I like the glass - I had to put a lock on the studio door, the dog figured out the handle - she likes to eat still lifes - edible or not - I know how you feel!
